Bruce and Norman Yonemoto's Vault is structured after the melodramatic tropes of television soap operas. Revisiting the repressed sexuality and romance of mainstream media, this video interweaves cliché acting and familiar editing techniques, like flashback sequences, to recount the fated narrative of the romance between a cowboy/artist and a pole-vaulting cellist.
